Getting Started

4
What is Cricstars?

Cricstars is a cricket scoring, player profile, team and club platform built for real cricket communities. You can score matches, manage teams, track player progress, build cricket records and share your cricket journey from one place.

Is Cricstars free to use?

Yes. The core Cricstars experience is free for players, scorers and fans. You can create a profile, score matches, follow teams and start building your cricket record without paying upfront. Premium tools may be added separately for advanced clubs, tournaments and verified services.

Who can join Cricstars?

Anyone who loves cricket — whether you're a player, scorer, coach, or fan. You don't need to play professionally; Cricstars is for every level of the game, from backyard to league.

How do I create an account?

You can create an account from the Cricstars app login or registration page. Use your correct name and details so your player profile, match records, teams and future verification requests stay connected properly.

Match Scoring

7
How do I start a new match?

To score a match, login to your Cricstars account, choose or create the teams, set the match details and start the scoring screen. The platform is built to make ball-by-ball scoring easier while keeping player and team records connected.

Can I fix a mistake while scoring?

If a scoring mistake happens, correct it as soon as possible from the scoring tools available for that match. For locked, completed or unusual match issues, login and raise a support ticket so the team can review the match context properly.

What happens after a match ends?

When the final over is bowled, the scorer ends the match and submits the scorecard. Both captains or team managers then verify it. Once approved, the match becomes official and contributes to your statistics and leaderboard ranking.

What does "verified match" mean?

Verification helps build trust around real cricket identities, clubs and platform activity. As Cricstars grows, verified profiles and organisations will help players, teams and partners know who they are dealing with.

Does Cricstars work offline?

Cricstars is built for real-time online scoring. You can still score temporarily if your network drops, but you'll need a stable internet connection for saving and syncing results.

What formats does Cricstars support?

You can score and track matches in all major formats:

  • T10 (10 overs)
  • T20 (20 overs)
  • ODI (50 overs)
  • Test or custom formats (as per organizer rules)
What does the "UNDO" button do in scoring?

It reverses your last scoring action (for example, if you added an extra run or marked the wrong bowler). Use it before ending the over or submitting results — it's your safety net for live matches.

Statistics & Teams

5
How are player statistics calculated?

Cricstars uses scored match data to build player and team statistics. Batting, bowling, fielding and match records become more useful as more matches are scored accurately on the platform.

What are leaderboards?

Leaderboards display top players and teams based on consistent verified performances — like total runs, wickets, and averages. They're updated automatically once new matches are verified.

Can I create or join a team?

Teams on Cricstars help players, captains, scorers and organisers keep match activity in one place. You can use teams for scoring, player grouping, records and future club or tournament workflows.

Can I manage more than one team?

Yes. You can be part of multiple teams (for example, a local club and a corporate team). Your player stats are automatically tracked across all verified matches, no matter which team you play for.

What are tournaments on Cricstars?

Cricstars is being developed to support structured cricket activity, including teams, matches and tournament-style workflows. As tournament tools expand, they will connect scoring, players, teams and results more cleanly.

Privacy & Security

3
Who owns my match data and stats?

Cricstars takes account and cricket data seriously. Use accurate profile information, protect your login details and raise a support ticket if you notice anything unusual with your account, team or match data.

How does Cricstars protect my data?

All data is stored securely on encrypted servers with limited access. Your connection is protected with SSL security. Cricstars never sells personal information to third parties.

Can I delete my data or account?

Yes. Go to Settings → Privacy → Delete Account or email support@cricstars.app. Once deleted, personal data is permanently removed, while match data remains anonymously for record integrity.

Social Features

6
What can I post on the Cricstars feed?

Anything cricket-related — match clips, team celebrations, training moments, or thoughts about the game. Keep posts respectful and focused on cricket. Unrelated or offensive content may be removed.

How do hashtags work?

Hashtags like #TeamIndia or #AsiaCup2025 help group posts together. Clicking a hashtag shows all related videos and updates shared by other players.

How do I follow or interact with other players?

You can follow players by tapping the Follow button on their profile. You can like, comment, or share their posts — building your own cricket network.

Can I tag players or teams in posts?

Yes. Use "@username" to tag players and "#hashtags" to reach wider audiences — e.g., #TeamIndia #T20Finals.

How do I upload videos or clips?

When posting on the feed, tap the video icon to upload short clips. Supported formats are MP4 and MOV (under current upload limits). Large or copyrighted files may be rejected.

How do I report inappropriate content?

Click the three dots (⋮) beside a post and choose Report Post. Provide a brief reason — Cricstars moderators review every report.

Dashboard & Navigation

4
What is the Cricstars Dashboard?

Your dashboard is your personal control center. From here, you can view your teams, matches, stats, invites, and updates — all in one place.

What are "My Matches"?

"My Matches" lists all games you've scored or participated in. Verified matches appear with full stats; unverified matches remain visible only to participants.

What is "My Statistics"?

This section displays your personal cricket record — including batting, bowling, fielding stats, strike rate, and averages — across all verified Cricstars matches.

What can I do in "Find Players"?

You can search for other cricketers globally by name, location, or role (e.g., batsman, bowler). It's useful for captains scouting players or for forming new teams.

Profile & Settings

4
How do I edit my profile?

Go to your Profile → Edit button. You can update your bio, batting style, favorite team, or profile image. Remember to click Save before exiting.

What are "Achievements"?

Achievements display your milestones — like most runs, top wickets, or verified badges earned. They update automatically from your match stats.

How do I become a verified player?

Players can apply for verification by sharing match participation proof or ID. Once confirmed by Cricstars' moderators, a blue badge appears on your profile.

Can I change my username?

Yes, once every 30 days from Profile → Edit. Frequent name changes are disabled to prevent confusion.

Support & Troubleshooting

4
Can I reset my password?

Use the password reset option on the login page. If you still cannot access your account after trying the reset flow, login where possible or use the support gateway so the issue can be tracked properly.

Can I use Cricstars on mobile and desktop?

Yes. Cricstars is designed to work on mobile browsers, so scorers and players can use it at the ground. For the best experience, keep your browser updated and use a stable internet connection while scoring live matches.

Why is my profile showing "No Stats Yet"?

Your stats update after your first verified match. If you've already played but it still shows zero, check if the match is marked as verified.

How can I contact Cricstars support?

You can reach us anytime at support@cricstars.app or via the in-app Help section. Include your username, match ID (if relevant), and a short description of your issue. Our team typically responds within 24–48 hours.
