Over Rate Calculator FAQs

Simple answers for players, scorers, captains and club admins.

How is cricket over rate calculated?

Divide the completed overs by the time elapsed in hours. If 42 overs are bowled in 3 hours, the over rate is 14 overs per hour.

What does it mean if we are behind the over rate?

It means the team has bowled fewer overs than expected for the time already used. The calculator shows how many overs behind you are.

Can I use this for Test cricket and club cricket?

Yes. You can change the required overs per hour, target overs and total available minutes to match your competition or session.

Does this calculate official penalty overs or fines?

No. It is a planning calculator. Official penalties depend on the match referee, umpires and competition playing conditions.
